his series of BEARHUG self-locking nuts combines key specifications of aircraft and military standards with the BEARHUG qualities of precision, self-locking and better installation to meet the requirements of government and the military, in a format with a thread made to ISO Metric standards, with a tolerance grade and position of 4H . Today it has the added feature of being made in an alloy steel hardened to a minimum level of Rockwell 20 on the C scale. This makes readily available a better retaining nut for many engineers who need a hardened self-locking nut for their application. The collar for this series is made of heat stabilized nylon, able to withstand temperatures of 250°F.
